Increments of 12 - 120 years
12 - 120
A Biblical example of the use of 120 years is found in Genesis 6:1-3. Here God
determined that a person’s age would be 120 years.
“1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth,
and daughters were born unto them,
2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they
took them wives of all which they chose.
3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he
also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty
years.”
The number of 120 is a multiple of the number 12. In those days, God was using the number 12 to number the divisions of mankind as He layed the foundation for their development into nations such as:
The 12 tribes who comprised the nations of Israel
The 12 Dukes who became the nation of the Ishmalites.
12x10=120
This time period of 120 years for the life a man was established by God after the flood.
