Number 12 Sequences

Adding the 6+1 Sequence, the 3+1 Sequence and the Number One

In the Bible, God used the  non-prime number 12 to number a variety of items. God also highlighted the number 12 when He counted the number of non-prime numbers in the numbering system. For example, we have seen how He highlighted the non-prime number 8 because it is the 3rd non prime number, of the 3rd non prime sequence, 3+1. God also highlighted the number 12 because it is the 6th  non prime number of the 3rd non-prime sequence..

In many Biblical examples, the number 12 is arrived at by adding multiple  Biblenumbers+1 sequences to equal the number12.   For example, God used multiple 2+1 sequences to arrive at the number 12 in the Bible.  In the Bible, He did this when He numbered a line of rulers.   In such a series, He highlighted the 3rd, 6th and 9h rulers. Multiple examples of this method in the bible can be found in the book "Yahweh Numbers the Nations". Another example of the Bible numbers being added to equal 12 is found in Revelation 4:1-8.

John’s Vision of the Throne of God

In this example, John had a vision of God and those divine spirits that surround His throne.

“1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on The throne.
3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.

5 And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
6 And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.
7 And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.
8 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.”

Divine Beings

1. Yahweh the Almighty
2. The Four Angels
3. The Seven Spirits of God

There are 12 divine beings in this vision. God added the sequenced numbers 7 and 4, plus the number 1 to arrive at the number 12 (1+4+7=12). The Scripture notes that around about the throne were 24 elders.

"4 And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold."

There would be 12 elders on the left side of the throne and 12 elders on the right side of the throne. There would be 3 groups of 12 and the 3 groups reflect the 2+1 sequence. There are 2 groups of elders and l group of divine beings.

Distributing Blood of a Sacrifice

God used the same combination of numbers to equal 12 when He gave instructions to Israel relating to the placement of blood in some of the sacrifices. In these examples, God added the sequence numbers 7 and 4 plus 1 to equal 12, so that the blood of the sacrifices would be placed 12 places.

Placement of the Blood of the Cleansing of a Leper

After a leper was pronounced clean by a priest, God called for a sacrifice. In Leviticus 14:1-7, God numbered the placement of the blood of the sacrifice:

“1 And the LORD spake unto Moses , saying,
2 This shall be the law of the leper in the day of his cleansing: He shall be brought unto the priest:
3 And the priest shall go forth out of the camp; and the priest shall look, and, behold, if the plague of leprosy be healed in the leper;
4 Then shall the priest command to take for him that is to be cleansed two birds alive and clean, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop:
5 And the priest shall command that one of the birds be killed in an earthen vessel over running water:
6 As for the living bird, he shall take it, and the cedar wood, and the scarlet, and the hyssop, and shall dip them and the living bird in the blood of the bird that was killed over the running water:
7 And he shall sprinkle upon him that is to be cleansed from the leprosy seven times, and shall pronounce him clean, and shall let the living bird loose into the open field.”

In this example, God commanded that the blood be placed 12 places:

1 -First the blood is put in an earthen vessel (see verse 5).

4 -items are dipped in the blood (see verse 6).

7 -blood is sprinkled 7 times upon the person to be cleansed (see verse 7).
----
12

Therefore, there are 7+4+1=12 places the blood is placed. This is another example of adding the sequences together to arrive at another number. These are the numbers in a number. God did the same thing when He called for the anointing of the leper with oil.

Anointing Oil for Cleansing a Leper

This example is found in Leviticus 14:15-18:

“15 And the priest shall take some of the log of oil, and pour it into the palm of his own left hand:
16 And the priest shall dip his right finger in the oil that is in his left hand, and shall sprinkle of the oil with his finger seven times before the LORD:
17 And of the rest of the oil that is in his hand shall the priest put upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot, upon the blood of the trespass offering:
18 And the remnant of the oil that is in the priest's hand he shall pour upon the head of him that is to be cleansed: and the priest shall make an atonement for him before the LORD.”

The anointing oil is placed 12 places:

1 - (Upon the trespass offering)
4 - (Placed on the person to be cleansed in 4 places)
7 - (Sprinkled 7 times before God)
---
12

This is yet another Biblical example of how God used combinations of the sequenced Bible numbers to arrive at other numbers (1 + 4 + 7 = 12).

Sacrificial Blood

Yahweh used this sequencing of 12 to number the placement of blood of certain sacrifices for sin that He commanded in Israel. An example of this is found in Leviticus 4:2-7. Here, God tells Israel what to do with the blood of a sacrifice if a person sins through ignorance.

One Person Sins through Ignorance

“2 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a soul shall sin through ignorance against any of the commandments of the LORD concerning things which ought not to be done, and shall do against any of them:
3 If the priest that is anointed do sin according to the sin of the people; then let him bring for his sin, which he hath sinned, a young bullock without blemish unto the LORD for a sin offering.
4 And he shall bring the bullock unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD; and shall lay his hand upon the bullock's head, and kill the bullock before the LORD.
5 And the priest that is anointed shall take of the bullock's blood, and bring it to the tabernacle of the congregation:
6 And the priest shall dip his finger in the blood, and sprinkle of the blood seven times before the LORD, before the vail of the sanctuary.
7 And the priest shall put some of the blood upon the horns of the altar of sweet incense before the LORD, which is in the tabernacle of the congregation; and shall pour all the blood of the bullock at the bottom of the altar of the burnt offering, which is at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.”

Placement of the Blood

1. Sprinkled 7 times before the Veil (verse 6)
2. Placed upon the 4 horns of the Altar of Incense (verse 7)
3. Remainder poured at the bottom of Altar of Sacrifices (verse 7)

Therefore, the blood is put in 12 places, The number 12 is sequenced as 7+4+1=12. A similar sacrifice was called for when the whole nation of Israel sinned through ignorance.

Whole Congregation Sins through Ignorance

Leviticus 4:13-18

“13 And if the whole congregation of Israel sin through ignorance, and the thing be hid from the eyes of the assembly, and they have done somewhat against any of the commandments of the LORD concerning things which should not be done, and are guilty;
14 When the sin, which they have sinned against it, is known, then the congregation shall offer a young bullock for the sin, and bring him before the tabernacle of the congregation.
15 And the elders of the congregation shall lay their hands upon the head of the bullock before the LORD: and the bullock shall be killed before the LORD.
16 And the priest that is anointed shall bring of the bullock's blood to the tabernacle of the congregation:
17 And the priest shall dip his finger in some of the blood, and sprinkle it seven times before the LORD, even before the vail.
18 And he shall put some of the blood upon the horns of the altar which is before the LORD, that is in the tabernacle of the congregation, and shall pour out all the blood at the bottom of the altar of the burnt offering, which is at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.”

Placement of the Blood

1. Sprinkled 7 times before the veil (verse 17)
2. Put on the 4 horns of the Altar of Incense (verse 18)
3. Remainder poured at the bottom of Altar of Sacrifices (verse 18)

Again, the blood is put 12 places. Again, the number 12 is sequenced as 7+4+1=12.
The following table lists the major sequences of the number 12. in the Bible.
