Noah Example (40 days)
A Biblical example of the number 4 being increased to the number 40 is found in
Genesis 7:4 when God told Noah that He was going to flood the earth because of
evil. In this scripture, God instructed Noah to prepare for forty days and
nights of rain. For example, in Genesis 7:4, God said:“4 For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth
forty days
and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy
from off the face of the earth.”
4o days can also be thought of as a 3rd of the number 120 days
120 days are a 3rd of a Biblical year of 360 days
