The Entourage of the Lamb - 144,000
In the book of Revelation, the Bible notes that the Lamb of God has an entourage that follows Him where ever He goes.
In
Revelation 14:1-4, the Bibles states:
"1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and
with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.
2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:
3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the
hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.
4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins.
These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he
goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb."
This Scripture describes some of the glory of Christ. It notes that He has a entourage of 144,000 saints. The Scripture notes that they accompany Him where ever He goes.
This Biblical number was arrived at by multiplying 12,000 x 12,000 = 144,000
Christ entourage number of 144,000 were taken out of the 12 tribes of Israel. The Bible notes that the 144,000 were redeemed from the earth and were virgins. 12,000 were taken out of each of the 12 tribes of Israel. Again we have:
12,000 x 12,000 = 144,000
In the book of Revelation, When God decided to seal His servants in the 12 tribes of Israel, before He plagued the earth. He chose 12,000 from each of the 12 tribes to seal as His servants. Again we have:
12,000 x 12,000 = 144,000
