6+1 Non Sequential Examples

The 6+1 of the 7 Seals

In the book of Revelation, Jesus took the book of prophecies and prepared to open it. The book of prophecies was sealed with 7 seals. As He opened each seal a prophecy went forth. God numbered the 7 seals and prophecies using His 6+1 non sequential method.  When 6 of the seals were opened, a prophetic event took place. However, when the 7th seals was opened, its prophetic event was delayed.

1 Seal opened and prophecy

3 Seal opened and prophecy

4 Seal opened and prophecy

7 Seal opened - There is silence for half an hour and event is delayed

Between the end of the 6th sea; and the opening of the 7th Seal another event took place. The prophet John noted that the tribes of Israel were sealed. Then there is the presentation of  a great multitude before the Throne of God as noted in the following Scripture.

Revelation 7:9-11

"9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,"
It is only after these great events take place that the bible speaks of the opening of the  7th seal: In Revelation 8:1-2, the Bible states:
"1 And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.
2 And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets."

This is an example of how God sequences the number 7 using His non sequential 6+1 sequence. God did the same thing when He numbered the 7 trumpets in Revelation.

The 6+1 Design of the 7 Trumpets

A good example of the non sequential 6+1 sequence is found in the book of Revelation.

This example has to do with the sounding of the 7 trumpets. In this prophetic event, 6 of the trumpets are sounded in sequence, however, the 7th trumpet is delayed.

7 Trumpet            Delayed

In  Revelation 10: 7, God let the prophet John know that the 7th trumpet was delayed. The 7th trumpet like the 7th seal is delayed and separated from the 6 (6+1).

In Revelation 10:7, the Bible states:

"7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets."

In this scripture, the Angel was talking to John about the forth-coming days of the 7th Trumpet. The 7th trumpet will sound for more than one day. It will sound for a distinct period of time that God has numbered.  When the 7th trumpet does sound the mystery of God will be finished. Again, the 7th is linked with a rest or an end.
