The 6+1 Sequential Sequence Model

The Seven Spirits of God

The number seven is an important  prime number used by God in the Bible. In the kingdom of Heaven, God has 7 Spirits  before His throne. The Bible refers to them as the Seven Spirits of God. For instance, in Revelation 4:5, the Bible notes:
"5 And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God." The activity of the Seven Spirits of God figure prominently in the use of this number in the Word of God.

God used the number 7, to number many of His acts in the Bible.

For example, God used the number seven when He created the Earth.  God used the the number 7 as the 6+1 sequence to number the days of Creation.

6 + 1 Creation Numbers

Exodus 20:11
“11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it.”

The numbers 6 and 7 were the first numbers God highlighted in the Bible. God hallowed the 7th day and blessed it; making it a Holy Day. The importance of these numbers to God would echo throughout the earth for thousands of years. God used the six days of work and resting the 7th, to create and design the major activities of Israel relating to time in the Bible.
God highlighted this first time period and made it a template to measure time. This is where God's idea and use of numbers began to differ greatly from that of man. God also used the 6+1 sequence number to number a variety items in the Bible. The 6+1 sequence is composed of prime and even numbers, and is a perfect example of a + 1 that returns a number to prime (6+1=7).

The following are Biblical examples which show how God used the 6 + 1 creation number-to-number events in Israel. Below is an illustration of the work week that God commanded Israel to observe (6 + 1 = 7).

All of time is structured to observe the numbers that God used in the creation of the earth. The seven days are sequenced as 6+1. Six days are for work but the 7th day is separate, it is a Holy Day for rest. Today, this unit of time established by God is known as a week.

Land Sabbath

God used the 6 + 1 creation numbers to number the years that people planted crops in Israel. In Leviticus 25:1-4, The Bible states:

“1 And the LORD spake unto Moses in mount Sinai, saying,
2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a Sabbath unto the LORD.
3 Six years thou shalt sow thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard, and gather in the fruit thereof;
4 But in the seventh year shall be a Sabbath of rest unto the land, a Sabbath for the LORD: thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard.”

6+1 Sabbath for the land

3 Normal Year
4 Normal Year
5 Normal Year
6 Normal Year
7 Sabbath Year for the land

When God gave Israel these instructions, He used His 6+1 Creation numbers. Here, 6 of the years would be normal but the 7th year is a rest from the normal routines of the 6 years. The Sabbath Year is a rest for the land. As the scripture notes, the 7th year is a Sabbath to Yahweh. Therefore, the years like the days are also structured using the 6+1 sequence, the numbers that God used to create the earth. God created this Sabbath for the following 3:
1. Sabbath for Himself (verse 4)
2. Sabbath for the land (verse 4)
3. Sabbath for Man (verse 4)

Time Limit for Servitude

In Exodus 21:2, God used the 6+1 sequence from Creation to determine the amount of time a Hebrew was to serve as a servant in Israel.

“2 If thou buy an Hebrew servant, six years he shall serve: and in the seventh he shall go out free for nothing.”

God instructed Moses that a Hebrew servant was to serve his master for 6 years and was to be free in the 7th year (6+1).

Noah

God also used the 6+1 Creation numbers when He decided to flood the world because of evil in the days of Noah. God appeared unto Noah more than a hundred years earlier and instructed him to build an ark. Noah built the ark and God appeared unto him with further instructions. For example, in Genesis 7:4, God told Noah;
“For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.”
The following table contains an illustration of the 7 days before the beginning of the great flood. Noah brought animals into the ark for six full days.

After the 7th day the rains began to fall. Noah rested from his labor of bringing the animals into the ark.
6+1 Meeting of Jesus and His Disciples on the Seven Day
On the 7th day (6+1) Jesus was transfigured as noted in the following scripture. For example, in Matthew 17:1-9, the Bible states:

“1 And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,
2 And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
3 And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.
4 Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.
6 And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid.
7 And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid.
9 And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead. “
This event occurred on the seventh day. God also used the number seven to number the details of this event and sequenced it as 6+1. There were 3 disciples and 3 prophets of the supernatural realm plus the “One”, the “Almighty One.”

The Transfiguration

In Matthew 17:1-6, the Bible records a miraculous event where Jesus was transfigured before His disciples. When God did this, He frame the entire event using His 6_1 sequence. For example the Bible states:

"1 And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,
2 And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
6 And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid"

First the Bible notes that the event took place on a high mountain on the 7th day.

God also used the 6+1 sequence to number those at this transfiguration

There were three disciples - Peter, James and John

There were three that were transformed talking together - Jesus, Moses and Elijah

There were 6 on the ground  + 1 in heaven - The "Almighty"

Total 3+3 +1 = 7

Again, Yahweh designed this meeting of the 7 on the 7th day. He sequenced the 7 using His 6+1 sequence. Yahweh is the +1 of the 7. While the 6 were on the ground during this event, God spoke from the clouds.

6+1 Times Sequence

In these examples Yahweh numbered the number of times something was repeated before He performed His miracle. For example, in 1Kings Chapter 18, the prophet Elijah went to Mount Carmel and prayed for rain to end a 3 and a half years drought in Israel.

Elijah Miracle of Rain

Elijah prayed the first time and had his servant look toward the sea for a sign of rain 7 times as seen in the following table.

6+1 times for rain
Times Elijah Prayed Activity
1 “there was nothing”
2 “there was nothing”
3 “there was nothing”
4 “there was nothing”
5 “there was nothing”
6 “there was nothing”
7 Rain

The 7th time that Elijah prayed, his servant looked and saw a small cloud rising from the sea. I King 18:45, states:
“...the heaven was black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain.”
Therefore, God used the 6 + 1 Creation numbers in this miracle. The seventh time there was rest from the drought. Again, God highlighted the +1 and sent rain the seventh time.

Naaman 6+1 times dipping in Jordan River

God used the 6 + 1 Creation sequence to work another great miracle in the Bible. In II Kings 5:9-4, Naaman the Syrian came to the prophet Elisha seeking to be cured of his leprosy. The prophet Elisha sent a messenger to Naaman instructing him to go to the Jordan River and wash himself 7 times. When Naaman first heard Elisha's instruction, he protested. However, his servant persuaded him to follow the prophet's instruction and wash himself in the river.

2 Naaman remained a leper
3 Naaman remained a leper
4 Naaman remained a leper
5 Naaman remained a leper
6 Naaman remained a leper
7 After 7th time Naaman is cured

After the 7th time that Naaman washed himself in the Jordan River, he was cured of his leprosy. As in the previous example, God used His 6+1 Creation sequence in working this great miracle. Six of the times He washed, he remained a leper. However, after the 7th time that he washed he rested from the labor of his disease. Again, this is the same number principle used in the creation of the earth. These numbers are very important to God and He used them throughout the Bible.

Enoch 6+1 Lineage

Yahweh also used the 6+1 sequence to number people. He did this with the first 7 men through the line of Seth (Genesis 5:1-21).
1. Adam - Created
2. Seth
3. Enos
4. Cainan
5. Mahalaleel
6. Jared
7. Enoch - The 7th man
Enoch is the 7th man through Adam’s 3rd son, Seth. Yahweh numbered this line using the 6+1 sequence. Six of the men from Adam to Jared lived and died on the earth. However, the 7th rested from such a destiny. Genesis 5:24, notes:
“And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.”
The seventh man rested from death and was taken by God to heaven (6+1= 7).
6+1 in Religious Ordinances
God used the 6+1 Creation number to number many of the religious ordinances that He gave to Israel. For example, in Leviticus Chapter 8, God instructed Moses that Aaron and his sons were to be consecrated. God commanded that Aaron and his sons were to be consecrated for 7 days. For 7 days they were not to leave the Tabernacle until the evening of the 7th day.

Consecration of the Altar
Another example of the 6+1 in religious ordinances occurs in Exodus, Chapter 29:37. God told Moses to consecrate the altar for 7 days, at the end of the 7th day the altar was sanctified.

Cleansing the Unclean

God used this principle in curing diseases of the people in Israel. For example, for leprosy, a person was shut up for 7 days. God specified that on the 7th day, the priests were to check the status of the disease. Depending upon the status of the disease, a person might be shut up 7 more days. However, if a person were healed, they would be released upon the 7th day (6+1).
If a person had an issue or touched a dead body, they were unclean for 7 days.

6+1 in Miracles

Anointing Saul as King

Another example where God used the number seven is found in lst Samuel 10:1-4, when God decided to anoint Saul as king of Israel.

“1 Then Samuel took a vial of oil, and poured it upon his head, and kissed him, and said, Is it not because the LORD hath anointed thee to be captain over his inheritance?
2 When thou art departed from me to day, then thou shalt find two men by Rachel's sepulchre in the border of Benjamin at Zelzah; and they will say unto thee, The asses which thou wentest to seek are found: and, lo, thy father hath left the care of the asses, and sorroweth for you, saying, What shall I do for my son?
3 Then shalt thou go on forward from thence, and thou shalt come to the plain of Tabor, and there shall meet thee three men going up to God to Bethel, one carrying three kids, and another carrying three loaves of bread, and another carrying a bottle of wine:
4 And they will salute thee, and give thee two loaves of bread; which thou shalt receive of their hands.”
God gave this prophetic sign to Saul via the prophet Samuel using the number 7. The 3 men that Saul met were going up to Bethel carrying 7 food items sequenced as 6+1.

6+1 Example and Peter

In this example, God sent Peter to the house of a gentile seeking the Holy Spirit. Later Peter was challenged by some of his brethren about entering the house of someone uncircumcised.

Acts 11:1-13

“1 And the apostles and brethren that were in Judaea heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God.
2 And when Peter was come up to Jerusalem, they that were of the circumcision contended with him,
3 Saying, Thou wentest in to men uncircumcised, and didst eat with them.
4 But Peter rehearsed the matter from the beginning, and expounded it by order unto them, saying,
5 I was in the city of Joppa praying: and in a trance I saw a vision, A certain vessel descend, as it had been a great sheet, let down from heaven by four corners; and it came even to me:
6 Upon the which when I had fastened mine eyes, I considered, and saw fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
7 And I heard a voice saying unto me, Arise, Peter; slay and eat.
8 But I said, Not so, Lord: for nothing common or unclean hath at any time entered into my mouth.
9 But the voice answered me again from heaven, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.
10 And this was done three times: and all were drawn up again into heaven.”
Note that Peter was shown the vision of the various animals 3 times by the Holy Spirit.
“1 And, behold, immediately there were three men already come unto the house where I was, sent from Caesarea unto me.
Note that 3 men were sent to Joppa by the Holy Spirit to get Peter.
12 And the Spirit bade me go with them, nothing doubting. Moreover these six brethren accompanied me, and we entered into the man's house:
Peter must have brought 3 men with him, because now 6 men accompanied him.
13 And he showed us how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood and said unto him, Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, whose surname is Peter;”

Verse 12 notes that 6 men accompanied Peter as He entered into the man’s house. Therefore, Peter would be the 7th (6+1). It was when the +1, the 7th, began speaking that the Holy Ghost fell upon the people seeking to be saved.

Acts 10:40-44

“40 Him God raised up the third day, and showed him openly;
41 Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before of God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.
44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.”

God wanted Peter to be present, before He dispensed His Holy Spirit upon the people.
In this section you saw some Biblical examples of how God used the number 7 in the Bible. In these examples, God sequenced the number 7 as 6+1. This related to the six days that God worked and His establishment of the Sabbath. In the Bible this prime number is used for time as well as times.
