Beastly Kingdom Example in Revelation |
A Biblical example of the prime number 5 being sequence as 4+1 is found in the book of Ezekiel. In this event, the prophet was shown a vision of God and the 4 beasts that accompanied Him.
Ezekiel 1:3-6
“3 The word of the LORD came expressly unto Ezekiel the priest, the son of
Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and the hand of the LORD
was there upon him.
4 And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud,
and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst
thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire.
5 Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And
this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man.
6 And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings.”
Above the head of these 4 was a firmament as noted in Ezekiel 1:22.
“22 And the likeness of the firmament upon the heads of the living creature
was as the colour of the terrible crystal, stretched forth over their heads
above.”
On top of this firmament was the Almighty."
Ezekiel 1:25-28
“25 And there was a voice from the firmament that was over their heads, when
they stood, and had let down their wings.
26 And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a
throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the
throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it.
27 And I saw as the colour of amber, as the appearance of fire round about
within it, from the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the appearance
of his loins even downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had
brightness round about.
28 As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was
the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the
likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I
heard a voice of one that spake.”
In this Scriptural example, the five divine ones were sequenced as the 4 + 1 in
their person. In the scripture, the 4 beasts are introduced first. Then the +1,
Yahweh of Hosts, who sat upon the top of the firmament.
In Revelation 4:2, we have the 5 presented again.
“2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in
heaven, and one sat on the throne.”
This is Yahweh of Hosts on His throne in this vision. Around the throne are the
4 beasts.
Revelation 4:6-8
“6 And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in
the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of
eyes before and behind.
7 And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the
third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.
8 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full
of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord
God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.”
Once again we have the same 5 sequenced as the 4 beasts +1, Yahweh of Hosts. The
4 beasts are similar and are not like the Almighty.
Yahweh used His 4+1 sequence when He numbered the beastly kingdoms. For example,
we saw how God gave Daniel a prophecy about 4 beastly kingdoms and sequenced
them as 3+1. These are the same beastly kingdoms that God revealed to John in
the book of Revelation. God used the same symbols for the 4 beasts in both of
these prophecies.

Revelation’s Beastly Symbols (Revelation Chapter 13)

The same symbols are used in both of these prophecies. After these 4 the Bible
notes that there arose another beast as seen in Revelation 13:11-12.
“11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two
horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth
the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly
wound was healed.”
The beast in verse 11- comes after the 4 beasts discussed earlier and is the +1 in this example. The prophet John notes that this is the beast whose name has a number, 666. This is the miracle working beast that causes fire to drop down from Heaven. This is the miracle working beast that will deceive the nations with wonders. This is also the beast that demands that His servants receive his mark, known as the “mark of the beast” in Revelation (4+1).
